The Swallow’s Nest isn’t just a mystical shop, herbal apothecary or psychic development studio. We practice real magic. The Swallow’s Nest is a mission to facilitate reconnection to our deepest ancestral energies, here on this Earth. Our oldest ancestors didn’t know how NOT to connect to those energies. We’re going to re-learn how, together.
We’re throwing out the New Age/starseed/spiritual bypassing/anti-science b.s. and leaving ceremonial magic at the door (a lot of it, anyway), and reconnecting to the animistic reality that our oldest ancestors simply considered normal.
Our special interest, is human wholeness, through grounded, healthy magic, folk magic, spiritwork practice, ancestral healing, and community focused, embodied herbalism.
We offer readings, mentorship, ethically sourced supplies, ongoing mystical journey support, and our own, in-house herbal line of magical products.
We are open by appointment for intuitive readings, mentorship, herbal consults, and we offer online shopping and local pickup for our local customers, online shopping and shipping for folks far away. We do our best to stock ethically sourced products that support animistic spirit work. Our ongoing goal is a shopping experience that minimizes reliance on exploitation.
Our in-house reader/psychic/medium, Katy Swallow, loves doing general readings, but also specializes in the thick and sticky stuff, like intergenerational trauma, DEEP ancestral healing work, and home and property clearings (even from a distance.)
We offer single session mentorship options in our readings menu, but we also offer mentorship subscriptions and packages, for those ready to commit to deepening their magical practice in an animistic spirit work direction. Refugees from New Age practices, come on in! Transitioning from a more patriarchal religious tradition? Welcome. Ready to step away from the goetic approach and re-learn relational collaboration with spirits? Fabulous. Dismantling patriarchy and supremacy culture in magic is our passion. Our goal is support of your wholeness.

We love helping people reconnect to plant magic, plant medicine, and grounded, embodied, herbalism practice. There is no place for supremacy culture and patriarchy in herbalism, and we strive to work with plants in a collaborative way. You can book an herbal consult, on our readings menu.
